After couples tie the knot, it’s a time-honored tradition for the newlyweds to kick off their married lives with a spectacular honeymoon. While most spouses plan just one post-nuptial getaway, Robin Roberts and Amber Laign started a new trend—scheduling two vacations. On September 17, 2023—a week after their wedding—the Good Morning America host revealed that she and her new wife jetted off to Curaçao, a Dutch Caribbean island, for their honeymoon. A little over two months later, Roberts shared that the pair had taken a second honeymoon in a tropical destination that they haven’t disclosed just yet.

On November 24, 2023, Roberts took to Instagram to post about the second part of their honeymoon. The news anchor uploaded a video of a monkey climbing trees and exploring lush terrain. “It’s a jungle out there!” Roberts exclaimed in her caption. “The adventure continues with honeymoon #2 🐒🤭 #fridayvibes.”

A few days later, Roberts posted another photo of her getaway with Laign—a picture of two cocktails featuring a backdrop of the ocean. “Sooooo, who do you think ordered the Aperol Spritz and who opted for the Spicy Margarita?” she asked her followers. “#oppositesattract 🥰 (Drum roll…correct response: R-Spicy Marg & A-Aperol Spritz)😉.”

On November 28, 2023, the GMA host shared that she and Laign had concluded their vacation. “Honeymoon #2…not sad that it’s over, we’re happy that it happened,” she summarized. “See you in the morn on @goodmorningamerica. Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise. 🙏🏾💕.” Along with her message, Roberts uploaded a photo of herself and her wife submerged in a pool or jacuzzi, admiring the jungle views and blue skies.

Roberts and Laign first said “I do” on September 8, 2023, in the backyard of their home. The following week, they headed to their first honeymoon in Curaçao. Roberts first marked her new location in an Instagram clip, which begins with the couple dipping their feet in the water before the camera pans to the sparkling waters and palm trees. “Following our wonderful wedding celebration full of dancing galore…felt so good to wiggle our toes in the sand during our magical honeymoon in beautiful Curaçao!” her caption said. “Will be thinking of this view when I’m back on @goodmorningamerica Monday morning. Will also be thinking of all the well wishes. Thank you & bless you. #sundayserenity 🙏🏾❤️.”
