Business Insider reported on November 9, 2023, that her grandfather grew cockscomb flowers in his garden for 40 years, which were used for her ceremony and reception on September 30, 2023. The day before the wedding, Woodard and her grandfather cut all of the blooms together. “I wanted to remember him and the flower patch and that morning together because I knew it was going to be super special to me,” she told the outlet.
