There’s nothing more fun than relaxing on the couch in front of your TV for a marathon of your favorite wedding show, whether that’s watching brides-to-be try on glittering Pnina Tornai gowns at Kleinfeld on Say Yes to the Dress or watching reality stars tie the knot in often-dramatic multi-episode specials. (Yes, we’re talking about Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries and that 72-day marriage.)
Wedding content has always been popular, but once TLC started airing Say Yes to the Dress and saw runaway success, the bridal TV business really exploded. From never missing an episode of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise to watching iconic reruns from Bethenny Getting Married?, there’s something both compelling and escapist about watching other brides and grooms figure out their dream celebrations.

Say Yes to the Dress

One of the most iconic wedding reality TV series, Say Yes to the Dress is a TLC show about brides shopping for their dream dresses. The original version is centered on the iconic bridal store Kleinfeld in New York City, and it’s impossible not to get hooked as brides of all shapes, sizes, and budgets try on dress after dress. The show has it all: family drama, over-opinionated friends, budget woes, lots of sparkles, occasional celebrity cameos from stars like Martha Stewart and Joan Rivers, and so many tears. It’s the show that introduced us to designer Pnina Tornai and her illusion gowns, as well as to Randy Fenoli, who later began designing dresses of his own.

Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta
The original show was so successful that TLC developed an offshoot centered on Bridals by Lori in Atlanta. Lori and her go-to partner, Monte, help Southern brides find their perfect wedding dresses.

Four Weddings

Hot off the heels of the Say Yes franchise came Four Weddings, wherein a diverse group of four brides attends one another’s weddings, rating each wedding's décor, food, dress, and overall vibe; in the end, the celebration with the highest overall score wins a dream honeymoon.

90 Day Fiancé
This cult-favorite TLC reality show is about long-distance couples (think other-side-of-the-world kind of distance) who have to decide if they’re ready for marriage in order to secure one partner a visa to live in the United States. Since its debut in 2014, 90 Day Fiancé has become a massive success (and spawned more than a few memes), and while many couples did not stay together after cohabitating for the first time, others are still married!

Married at First Sight
Would you marry someone you've never met? That’s the premise of this popular series, where total strangers are matched up by "experts" but don’t meet until that fateful moment down the aisle. They have two months to decide if they want to split or stay together. What an experiment!

Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event
No one does weddings like the Kardashians—especially Kim. Her short-lived marriage to athlete Kris Humphries was covered in extreme detail in a two-part series for E!, which you can still stream today despite the marriage’s fate. (Her wedding to Kanye West was also shown, but in a less-splashy manner.) The "fairytale" wedding is fraught with drama; her sisters don’t like Kris, Kim has doubts, and things don’t go according to plan. But at the end of the day, the two did get married and the wedding is as over-the-top as you’d imagine. If anything, it’s a fun walk down memory lane.

My Fair Wedding with David Tutera

Bethenny Getting Married?

Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel wasn’t actually a housewife at all; she was divorced when filming began and got married again in 2010 when her wedding to Jason Hoppy was filmed as part of a spinoff series, Bethenny Getting Married? This eventually became Bethenny Ever After, though the show didn’t take off quite like the Housewives—and neither did her marriage, which ended in 2013.

Disney’s Fairytale Weddings
